For agencies

Development capacity on a white label basis

DEV DUO works as a development subcontractor for marketing and web agencies. We do the engineering. The client relationship and the brand stay with the agency.

Division of work

What the agency does, and what we do

The agency handles

  • Client relationship and communication
  • Brand and visual identity
  • Design and user experience
  • Pricing and proposals
  • Running the project towards the client

We handle

  • Development and code quality
  • Technical decisions and architecture
  • Delivery on the agreed schedule
  • Testing before launch
  • Operations and bug fixing

Scope

What we take on and what we do not

We take on

  • Development in Next.js, React and TypeScript
  • Node.js backends with PostgreSQL and Supabase
  • System integration and custom API work
  • Work on existing codebases
  • Extra developer capacity on a running project

We do not take on

  • Development inside WordPress
  • Development inside WooCommerce

We do build a separate application or API layer alongside an existing WordPress site. The WordPress install stays where it is, and the new functionality runs next to it as its own system.

White label

How the white label partnership works

We have no contact with your client

All communication goes through the agency. We do not email or call the end client.

We do not use the work as a reference

Joint work does not appear on our website or in our portfolio, and there is no built by line in the footer of the finished site.

We do not approach your client

We will not go to the agency's client with an offer of our own, during the engagement or after it.

NDA as standard

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before work starts. You do not have to ask for it.

Getting started

How a development project starts

  1. We take the brief

We receive the task and the design. If anything is missing for the estimate, we come back with the questions in one go rather than in pieces.

  2. Estimate in writing

You get an estimate in days and a delivery date, in writing. It forms part of the proposal rather than a verbal indication.

  3. Two week delivery cycles

Every two weeks we hand over a working state you can test. You do not see the result for the first time at the end.

  4. Handover

We hand over the source code, the accounts and the documentation. The agency schedules the launch.

If the estimate looks like slipping by more than 20 percent, you hear about it as soon as we know. Not when the invoice arrives.

Typical lead time to start is one week from the order.

Ownership

The code and the accounts belong to the agency

  • We hand over the source code whenever you ask, including mid project.
  • Accounts and access credentials are handed over in full.
  • We do not require exclusivity. The agency can move to another developer at any time.
  • Further development does not depend on us being involved.

Common questions

Common questions about white label work

No. We have no contact with the end client, and joint work does not go on our website as a reference. There is no built by line in the footer of the finished site either.

Talk to us about a specific task

You do not need a finished brief. A short call is enough to establish whether we can help and whether we have capacity for it.
